Ring Bearers

When They Say I Do-I'm Through!

Adults think we love this stuff
And dress us up in fancy clothes
With fabrics that scratch our skin
Or ruffles that tickle our nose.

Then we must march down an aisle
With some fakey, pretend smile
But as for me I'm telling you
When they say I do--I'm Through!

Ring Bearer

What a lot of responsibiity
Rests in your little hands
How carefully you practice
To perform up to the demands.

How hard it is to be comfy
In your dress up clothes
Today you look so handsome
But you crinkle up your nose!

The crowd is hushed
As you walk in so tall and straight
Everyone is smiling
As you stand so patiently and wait.

You made the wedding so special
As you held your pillow so carefully
And never let it slip
With a look of determination
as you bit your bottom lip.

We were so proud of you today
For the way you did what
was your task to do
Never was there such a wonderful
ring bearer as you!
