Our wedding day is fast approaching
And you are invited
If you can share this day with us
Ron and I would be delighted.

As we saw our vows before our Lord above
The one who brought us together

Wedding Preparations

Sending out invitations
and announcement too
Oh my goodness!
There’s so much to do!
The church ! The pastor!
The addresses of friends
Once known but now lost
And keeping tabs somehow
of all of the costs!
Shopping for dresses
For attendants and me-
These are all important
I’m sure you’ll agree!
I’m creating some items
For decorations and trim,
Trying on my dress
And adjusting the hem,
Buying flowers for the church
And choosing my bouquet
While blocking out frustrations
That try to come my way!
There is a long list
Of things yet to do
Such as finding the loveliest
And most appropriate shoe.
There’s guestbook, wedding favors
And gifts for the groom
As well as reserving each
Of our families a room!
I’m sure I’m forgetting
So many things
That need to be done
But although I’m busy
I’m finding it to be fun!

We are taking the time to plan this wedding
Making a list from A to Z,
Praying that all will come together
Just as we dreamed -
With each bit fitting perfectly!
It's not a manner of money
Although expense has to play a part,
But each moment of this wedding
Will live forever in the couple's hearts.

And it’s beautiful inside.
It makes it seem so special
To be an honored bride.
She created it personally
And did it just for me
Choosing just the perfect things
That I would love to see.

For wedding favors
What should I choose
They must be something
That people can use!
Shall I make them pretty
And engrave on them each name
Or choose something elegant
But each one the same?

Oh my it's happening
Our daughter has set a date
She wants the most special place to wed
And as a mom I can relate!
But nothing seems to fit the bill
That we have seen as yet
But that all things will work out
I try not to forget!
I'm sure that we will find a church
That will be perfect in every way
And when we do, you can be sure
It will be a red letter day!

Our church is perfect for the wedding
And so many of our friends are there
Such a perfect place to celebrate
The life the two of us will share.
So many memories linger there
And make us smile each day
Along with all the special friends
Whom God has sent our way.
We have the pastor's blessing
For he knows that we agree
That in the center of a home
Is the place that God must be.

What a wonderful feeling of love

Abounds in the happy place
As we light the unity candle
Two families united by this love
Warmed by the glow of the candle
And its light reflected on each face.
Our hearts are stirred by memories
Of loved ones who are with us no more
But who wait on Heaven's distant shore.
We know they rejoice with us
If Heaven allows them this view
And share in our joy and happiness too.
